Is Abusing Or Endangering The Health Of A Child Under Circumstances Likely To Cause Death Or Great Bodily Injury (PC 273a(a)) A “Strike” In Riverside County, California?

Posted in Domestic Violence FAQ'S on May 27, 2015

No. A conviction under Penal Code 273a(a) / Abusing or Endangering the Health of a Child Under Circumstances Likely to Cause Death or Great Bodily Injury is not a “Strike” under California’s Three Strikes Law.

However, if the defendant actually inflicts great bodily injury on the child and is convicted of a felony, it could constitute a “Strike” under California’s Three Strikes Law.

If you, or a family member has been arrested for Abusing or Endangering the Health of a Child Likely to Cause Death or Great Bodily Injury (PC 273a(a)) in Riverside County or Orange County, call Criminal Defense Attorney Graham Donath at (951) 667-5293
