Arrested For Battery Causing Seriously Bodily Injury PC (243(d)) In Riverside County or Orange County

PC 243(d) is commonly known as Battery Causing Seriously Bodily Injury in California.

To prove that a defendant is guilty of battery causing seriously bodily injury PC 243(d) the prosecutor must prove three things:

1. That the defendant willfully and unlawfully touched a person in a harmful or offensive manner; AND
2. The person suffered seriously bodily injury as a result of the force used;AND
3. The defendant did not act in self-defense or someone else or reasonably disciplining a child

The touching can be done indirectly by causing an object, or someone else to touch the other person.
